ST. CATHARINES GAME & FISH ASSOCIATION 2024 MEMBERS CHALLENGE

Join the SCGFA membership to automatically be incorporated into our 2024 Members Challenge! We have updated our derby formats and no longer have member divisions for individual derbies, but a new and improved season long (April 6 – Sept 28) Members Challenge. For our Challenge, our members can enter Salmon, Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout, Lake Trout and now Walleye for a chance to win a prize! We will have prize package awards for the top 5 Salmon, and prize packages for the top 5 Walleye and each Trout species. Unlike previous years, you can enter the same fish in one of our derbies and the Members Challenge. We are hoping the Walleye category will promote our Lake Erie fisherman to join our community and promote our salmon anglers to give Walleye angling a try as well! We hope that we see new members join our growing association to give input, help us put on more events, meet new people and share fishing tales! Good luck to everyone in 2024! 1. CATHARINES GAME & FISH ASSOCIATION 2024 MEMBERS CHALLENGE RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. The 2024 Members Challenge will commence on Saturday April 6, 2024 at 12 AM and conclude on Saturday Sept 28, 2024 at 6 PM. This is open to all paid 2024 SCGFA members.
2. This Challenge will run separately from other SCGFA events, but the same fish may be weighed in multiple events, as long as all rules are followed for all events.
3. The eligible species are Chinook & Coho Salmon, Rainbow, Brown & Lake Trout, and Walleye
4. Anglers may fish Canadian and U.S.A. waters of Lake Ontario, Lake Erie & the Niagara River.
5. All participants must abide by all Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources & New York D.E.C. regulations where applicable.
6. Any fish with evidence of net, gaff or snag marks, or having been tampered with or artificially weighted, including ice or water, will immediately disqualify the participant.
7. Any attempt in any manner to falsify entries will result in prosecution and prize forfeiture.
8. No “Derby Tickets” are required for the Members Challenge, but everyone on the boat must be paid 2024 SCGFA members for an angler & their fish to be eligible. Memberships must be purchased the day before. A Family Membership covers 2 spouses/partners and their children under 18.
9. Anglers may enter as many fish as they want, but are only eligible to win one prize per species.
10. Fish must only be entered by the angler who landed it.
11. There is no minimum size requirement to enter fish.
12. All fish entered must be in good condition, with no deterioration or decomposition, for positive identification by the Derby judges.
13. Participants are welcome to weigh and enter a qualifying fish in more than one derby or tournament as long as all of the above rules are complied with.
14. Fish may be weighed at any St Catharines Game & Fish Association Derby scale location.
15. All entry forms MUST be filled in completely by each entrant.
16. Entrants may be required to sign an affidavit attesting to the validity of any prize winning entry and at the discretion of the Derby judges may be required to take a polygraph examination.
17. This Association will not be liable to or for the loss of property, or for the injury to the person of any contestant or spectator.
